Washing machine leaking — where is water coming from

Water appears under the machine during wash, rinse or drain. Sometimes leaks from door or detergent drawer. Puddle may be small or flood the floor.

Key is to understand where exactly it leaks from — this determines the cause. Leak from bottom front (door) — seal. Bottom back — hoses, tank. Top from drawer — clog or cracked drawer.

Rubber door seal — the most vulnerable part. Cracks from age, cuts, harsh detergents. Leaks from door to floor.

Small cuts can be glued with rubber adhesive (temporary). Large cracks or torn seal — replacement only.

Seal replacement — from ~180,000–300,000 UZS depending on model. Bosch, Samsung, LG seals cost more. Work takes 30–60 minutes.

Drain hose can crack, loosen at clamp or get damaged. Water leaks under machine at back or bottom during drain.

Internal pipes (from tank to pump, from drawer to tank) also crack. Partial disassembly needed for inspection.

Drain hose replacement — from ~80,000–120,000 UZS, pipes — from ~150,000 UZS. Clamp tightening (if just loose) — free with diagnostics.

Water leaks from detergent drawer to floor or inside cabinet. Causes: drawer clog with powder/softener, cracked drawer or pipe from drawer to tank.

Flush drawer with hot water — dried powder forms rock. If drawer cracked — replacement from ~80,000–100,000 UZS.

Drawer pipe often clogs — must remove and flush. If cracked — replacement from ~80,000 UZS.

Tank crack — rare fault but serious. Water seeps from bottom of tank. Cause — impact, overload, factory defect. Repair possible (welding) but complex, from ~250,000–400,000 UZS.

Bearing seal worn — water gets into bearing and leaks out. Sign: leak + rumble or squeal from drum. Bearing and seal replacement — from ~350,000 UZS.

Important not to delay — leaking seal will destroy bearing completely.
